MBT Activity Weekend Photos |
|
These are the pictures from the weekend of 9th and 10th March, 2000. I took approximately 40 people from MBT Middle East plus 10 Adventure Services staff on an activity weekend to the Musandam Peninsula. There are no roads to this particular area, and the only way in is by a 4 hour dhow trip. Even though the sea is full of life and the views are spectacular, the trip is a bit long. But it was worth it! Instead of tents, we took materials to build shelters and let people be a bit creative. Click on the photos to see an enlarged picture. |

Activities included abseiling, kayak building, shelter building, a discover scuba program for people who had never dived, water skiiing and skin diving. As you can see from the pictures, it is an incredibly beautiful area. Everything went well, except for the diving. There was an unexpected bloom of jellyfish that came and went with the tide, which made it a bit unnerving for the beginners. Other than that, it was a good trip, with one person stating that it was on a par with Hidden Wadi (no way!) |

| Prospective clients always ask me about safety. The first two abseiling photos show the safety rope we have rigged to get abseilers to the start point. All our safety systems are designed to industrial climbing standards and tested by our staff before any client or delegate comes near them. | ||||
